Very Negligent Blogger

I have been a very negligent blogger here. I am sorry to all who have missed me.  I have another blog (that supports my new webstore Home and Garden Welcome) that you can view here.  It is updated VERY regularly.  Check it out when you get a chance, but in the mean time here are some of the projects I have been working on lately.  See my other blog for more!

These images are examples of things you could create in my downloadable art classes:

As well as a few other projects I have completed to give an example of what you could create using the contents of the Mystery Kit Contest at Home and Garden Welcome:

Read more about these projects and many others (including some recipes and ideas for your garden) on my Home and Garden Welcome blog, and maybe even go on a little shopping spree!

Happy Crafting

Bench from dresser

I have always wanted a bench by my front door and could never find one I liked (that I could afford).  I had an old dresser that I converted.
Before, an old dresser that had been painted once, wood on the sides had dents and dings.

The point of no return, I wanted to make sure the top still fit and the height was okay.

I upholstered the top with some left over fabric I used to make roman shades in the adjoining living/dining room.

LOVE the bench, not so sure about the old hardware.  I'm thinking I am going to find different drawer pulls for this.

New Blog

I haven't had much time to create anything in 3 dimension lately but if you are interested I have started another blog.  Stories from Katie is a blog about life with my unique, ever surprising daughter.  It is just starting, and I am trying to add stories in a chronological order so keep an eye open for new posts.

At least with writing I have a creative outlet that doesn't take dry time or makes a mess that needs to be cleaned up before dinner.
